Window of Nostalgia
This post is for folks who are into the habit of running old software or even older operating systems. When I touched a computer for the first time, it had a TURBO button and the system gave a beautiful chime when it turned ON and OFF. Things really took off for me when Windows XP came around and people started getting online. When Windows 7 was launched I finally got my first desktop.
Well recently I ran into an old reddit post that supposedly talks about being able to download genuine Windows 7/8.1 ISOs from Microsoft's own server. Now, if you're even an average joe when it comes to computing, getting an ISO should be a walk in the park but to have them from the garden where it was born is totally something else. UPDATE: I tried and unfortunately I think Microsoft has blocked the functionality. I suppose it is back to the internet archive pages again. But please do verify the files you download.
